A short story about us

The mission of the YMCA of Greater Seattle is "Building a community where all people, especially the young, are encouraged to develop their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body."

Our young adult programs provide opportunities and resources for young people to set their own goals as they move from foster care or homelessness. Our 2009-2010 program priorities guide our work.

The YMCA is part of the Transition Collaborative, a group of public and private organizations dedicated to improving the lives of young people leaving foster care.  We are also actively involved in the Committee To End Homelessness and are a member organization of Foster Care Alumni of America.
